Endlos Plattitüden Etüden

This piece uses an analogue tape recorder and a single endless tape to create a virtually infinite series of musical miniatures (< 2 minutes each).

Each miniature "recycles" the material of its predecessor by partially manipulating and/or overwriting the sounds already recorded on the tape.

Any sounds may be introduced into the series, although old records (Platten) and banalities (Plattitüden) are highly recommended sources. Hence, choose carefully.

Recording / mixing does not have to be done in real-time or by a single person but on analogue recording gear exlusively. So, whatever happened actually happened.
